On 29 May 2025, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, Andrii Melnyk, presented his credentials to Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres.

During their conversation, Andriy Melnyk expressed his gratitude to the Secretary-General for his clear and consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

They discussed further consolidation of international support for Ukraine and enhancing the role of the United Nations in strengthening peace and security in the region.

Particular attention was paid to ways of achieving a just resolution of Russia’s war against Ukraine – based on the UN Charter, General Assembly resolutions and norms of international law.
