Competent authorities of Ukraine obtained photo proof of MANPADS (man-portable air defense systems) of the Russian origin used by terrorists in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
On June 6, 2014 after the terrorist attack at the checkpoint "Marynivka" (Donetsk region), a box of "9M39" (MANPADS "Igla") was found in the place of hostilities. The shipping ticket, which was in the box, indicates that since 2001 these MANPADS were in storage of the Armed Forced of the Russian Federation air defense military base #33859 (Yeisk city, Kraskodarskiy region of Russian Federation). The latest checkmark of their on-hand status in the storage of the military base 33859 was dated April 12, 2014.
It is seen on the photos below.
Therefore, starting April 12, 2014 these missiles were stored at a military base of the Russian Armed Forces in city of Yeisk, and starting June 6, 2014 were used by terrorists in the assault of the crossing point "Marinovka" on the Ukrainian-Russian border.
In this regard, Ukraine on the margins of the OSCE meeting of the Forum for Security Cooperation on June 18, 2014 requested Russian Federation to provide the information how did MANPADS "Igla" from Russian military base appear in the hands of pro-Russian terrorists.
Transfer of MANPADs conducted by the Russian Federation to terrorists not only confirms the fact of direct interference of the Russian Federation to the internal affairs of Ukraine and Russia's support to terrorism, but also confirms a brutal violation of the international obligations of the Russian side on control of storage and transfer of MANPADs under the Wassenaar Arrangement - "Elements for Export Controls of portable air defense systems".
